Introducing KS-YSF and KS-P25 Networks

The principals of the K0USY group and KS-DMR announce the deployment of two new digital voice networks available via all KS-DMR repeaters: KS-YSF and KS-P25.

Previously, YSF and P25 modes were only available on certain KS-DMR repeaters and there was no link established between any of them except for a couple of the K0USY machines. Now, YSF users can communicate with other YSF users across the entire KS-DMR system, and P25 users can communicate with other P25 users across the system as well!

JUST SO WE’RE CLEAR – This DOES NOT mean that somebody using one mode can communicate with somebody using another mode! There is NO TRANSCODING between modes and the network links between them are completely separate!

Please keep in mind that DMR, YSF and P25 users are all sharing the system so please use Busy Channel Lockout or pay attention to channel activity to avoid colliding with conversations using other modes.

We hope you’ll find the new networks useful!
