McPherson Repeater Upgrade

Today the McPherson KS-DMR repeater was upgraded to a 40 watt Motorola MTR2000 using the STM32-DVM-MTR2K v3 board from our very own WA0EDA Skunkworks division. This repeater replaces the Yaesu DR-1X that was in service, and offers improved receiver and transmitter performance.

Thanks to N0MJS, NV8Q, N5NIQ, and WD0FYF who were involved in making this happen.

I see a reference to a “V3” board above, yet I don’t see references to this anywhere else. Is this, perchance, a newer board that will include features of the MTR200 Auxiliary I/O Card necessary to enable analog/digital mixed use such that one does not have to procure the MTR200 card (or was that a typo that was supposed to say “V2”)?

Typo. The V2 board is in production and includes features of the I/O card. There is no V3 board.

Oh! I didn’t realize the V2 board already included features of the MTR200 I/O card. Does this mean the V2 card can do analog/digital mixed use without needing the MTR200 I/O card?

Yes. That’s what V2 was about – entirely.
